Get involved-what we do and how you can help

Government advice states that the best way to stop the spread of the disease, protect our NHS and save lives is to stay at home if possible.  The Conservation Work Party, therefore, will not be meeting until further notice.

Explore it, love it, support it!

Time is precious, so whether you only have a few hours to spare every now and then, or if you can make a more regular commitment, we would love to hear from you.  The Friends of Jubilee Country Park is run entirely by our friendly, dedicated team of volunteers and new members are always welcome.

We run a full and varied programme of events, walks, talks, fairs and social events throughout the year, with spring and summer being our busiest time of year. That's also the time when many of our regular volunteers are away and we can be short of help, so whatever time you give, it really makes a difference.

What can you do? You don't have to have any special skills and we will always support you while you learn the ropes. Just bring a friendly smile and a willing pair of hands!

  • Setting up venues for talks, events or fairs, including drivers and transport
  • Running stalls at events, chatting to other supporters and members of the public
  • Green fingered Friends are needed to grow seedlings and cuttings ready for plant sales at events
  • Making and serving refreshments at indoor events and baking for our cake sales
  • Join our conservation work group which meets every Monday morning in the park and really make a valuable contribution to the conservation and management of the park. No prior experience is needed, full guidance and support will be given and we can promise you an enjoyable and rewarding morning's work with a friendly team of like-minded people.  Please see the Conservation Work Party page for full details.
  • Join our events team and bring along your ideas for new events and activities to add to our programme.

Please get in touch and let us know how you can help, or just ask to be added to our list of active volunteers and we'll let you know when we need you. We are just finalising our events programme for this year, so if you're already a member, you will receive monthly email updates and if you've not yet joined, then please have a look at our Membership page and get signed up for just £5 a year per household.
