About the
Friends of Jubilee Country Park
Jubilee
Country Park is a wonderful Local Nature Reserve covering 62 acres
of neutral grassland, meadows and woodland which support a wide variety of
wildlife
including species which are rare in London.
The Friends
of Jubilee Country Park work to protect
and conserve this important local amenity in a variety of ways.
Some of our volunteers take part in a regular work group to help the conservation and biodiversity of amphibians, birds,
butterflies, insects, mammals, reptiles and wild flowers which all live on
this precious piece of our local natural environment.
We also offer an interesting programme with a wide variety of guided walks, talks and events throughout the year to promote awareness, education and support among our members and the general public. We are currently finalising our programme events for this year, so please check our What's On page for regular updates. You don't have to be a member to come along, so you're welcome to join the next event which catches your eye. We're not into hard selling, but a small donation is very welcome and there's a good chance you might leave with a membership form, or better still, why not sign up while you're there? It's only £5 a year per household to support our work and we'll keep you informed of our upcoming events.
If you'd like to read the small print, the aims, objectives, membership, finances and management details of the Friends of Jubilee Country Park are detailed in our constitution which can be seen here.
If you would like to help us in any aspect of our work, there are many ways in which you can contribute:
Join: To support us in all aspects of our work and be kept informed of our events programme. You will also receive our bi-annual newsletter and we would love to welcome you as a
“Friend”. It only costs £5 a year per household and you can find full details via the link or on our Membership page.
Volunteer: As conservation is high on our list, there is an organised weekly work programme which takes place in the park on Monday mornings and new members are always welcome. It's a great way of really making a difference
to the park while enjoying the company of like-minded people. Full training and support is given and you don't need any special knowledge, all that's needed is a bucket of enthusiasm and a good spadeful of humour. Why not come along and give it a go, you can find full details on the Volunteer page.
There are also many other ways you can help us, whether you can spare a few hours here and there or make a more regular commitment, all help is greatly appreciated. Please see the Getting Involved page to see what else we're planning and how you can help.
